59. Hey, I know what it's like to have a cat being all pitiful

Last week my roomie's cat was sick and had a food restriction for a day. He went to the kitchen and sat at his food tray and cried so pitifully for over an hour--it nearly broke my heart, but I had no choice.



And the cabinet where his catnip is....he sits and cries in front of that every day--sometimes more than once a day. But I can't very well have him getting stoned every time he asks for it, so I have to deny him some of the time no matter how sad it makes him look. :shrug:

I think I know the guy in the waterfall pic, and I defintiely know other people who've run that drop, plus I actually camped at a campsite adjacent to that thing about 12 or 13 years ago. It's in a state park, a friend and I were just getting going at winter camping and the falls were frozen. I remember looking at them and talking about if anybody had ever been crazy enought to run that (this was LOOOOOONNNNGGGGGG before I started to kayak) and thinking "Naawwwwwwwww, there's no way anybody's run this! I know there are some ballsy nutjobs out there--but this is just UNDOABLE!"
