Does your CAT know when you bring home Catnip?

My Two Crazy Boys can smell it through the shopping bag. Yesterday I went to whole foods and bought some Catnip in the bulk section along with some other spices.
I forgot and left the bag sitting in my Kitchen on the counter top and this morning when I woke up both cats were caked in catnip and it was all over their fur, on the carpet, on the chairs, kitchen floor, counter tops. Well hell it was everywhere and both boys were laying on the floor looking like they were high.

They didn't bother any other spice in the bag except the Catnip.

What's up with this?

2. My cats open the cabinet door and pull out the tub of Catnip

but they have not been able to get the top off...but they know that tub contains their Catnip. I love my kitties...and they roll in the stuff...lick, eat, roll, then argue with each other!

When my kitty's bored she knows to go to the cabinet, third shelf up, knock down the container and pry or chew it open. I've come home to amusing scene likes the one you've described, too. Damn, no wonder we love them so. It is really funny behavior.
