**UPDATE: I ACTUALLY SAW D.C. YESTERDAY!!**

Yes, you heard me correctly, Lizards! After falling ill my first day here (**Hello From Washington D.C.!!**) and remaining sick the next day (**UPDATE: Still Sick in Alexandria, VA**), I'm alive!! I'm really alive! :D :D

Well, okay, so I did black out in the shower Sunday night because I was so glucose/water deprived from not eating anything for two days, but I got better! And yesterday--Monday--I was able to go into the capital! I went to the National Archives, the National Gallery of Art--West Wing, the lawn/front steps of the US Capitol Building, and the US Botanical Gardens. And last night we went out to dinner at Bertucci's here in Alexandria, and I had a big bowl of unhealthy pasta! And I didn't throw it back up! Woot! :D :D

Going into the city again today to do "the Mall" (including the Vietnam Memorial, etc.) and several of the Smithsonians--Air and Space for sure, and another one or two that my mom wanted to see, but I can't remember the names of. :D I think it's going to be pretty hot here today, too, so I'd better enjoy it--we're going back to Maine via seven-hour train ride and two-hour bus ride tomorrow.
