The whole thing cost me 17 dollars with an extra 6.50 for an honor cord, what a rip off for a stupid piece of rope! I can't believe it, only 24 more days until I graduate! :woohoo: now the next task is figuring out what I'm going to wear. Do you think it would be acceptable to wear a nice pair of capris (the gown is long) and a blouse? I haven't worn a dress since I graduated high school (we were forced to) and quite frankly I have no desire to wear one this time. These ceremonies last all day and the last thing I want to be is uncomfortable.

That's very exciting!
I don't remember what I wore under my gown for my BA, I later ripped it up, punk-style, at a graduation party.

I would assume they are more lenient on the dress code in college. In high school (a public one) the girls were forced to wear light colored dresses that wouldn't show up under our WHITE gowns. The guys wore green ones but they wore dress shirts and ties. You think it would be the other way around, because it's quite difficult to find white dresses that aren't associated with religious sacraments. Hell they even regulated what kind of shoes we were allowed to wear.

If there's no specific dress code, wear what you want! Be comfy!
