It's official....LSU/Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl
http://msn.espn.go.com/

Results come out at 530, but strength of schedule will ruin USCs chances. LSU bypasses them to #2.

1. OU sucks
They couldn't even beat Kansas State. Their whole season was a sham. It was not for real. They are a slightly better than mediocre team who should be playing in something like the Holiday Bowl or the Alamo Bowl.

2. PAC-10 out of BCS NOW
Getting screwed out of the NC game twice is enough. Get out.

3. Yes, this is twice now.....
Both times getting screwed by a Big 12 team that didn't win their own conference.

Oregon in 2001, USC today.

13. I actually rooted for the ducks in that game.
much as it 'may' have gone against my nature.

5. OU does indeed suck, but I cheered for them
Edited on Sun Dec-07-03 04:03 PM by Red_Viking
Ugh, it was difficult, being a UT grad, and having our asses handed to us for the past four years in October. However, I wanted UT to get a BCS bowl nod for the first time in awhile. Now, I'm not so sure it will happen. UT beat Kansas St, so their loss to OU would have been a good thing for UT's bowl chances.

Having said that, it was kinda nice to see the Swooners looking a bit flummoxed. My evil twin enjoyed watching the ass-whipping.

They are Big 12, so I'll have to cheer for them again, swallowing bile, in the Sugar Bowl. I can't abide their fight song, though. Guess I've heard it a few too many times...! :-)

K-State played an impressive game. Congrats on the win, and the Big 12 championship.

7. I hope the Pac 10 takes their ball and goes home.

Get's out of the BCS. FUCK THE BCS.

Kill it now. No Way a non-conference non-champ deserves in.

Back to playing pac 10 champ vs. Big Ten champ in the Rose Bowl.

Good enuff for me. May it always be so. (barring playoffs for Nat. championship)

Side note: You can throw on USC. OK. Anderson got picked off(as he always does), but he racked up a lot of yardage. Also, Leinart doesn't seem able to throw the deep ball. He was pretty good on shorter stuff. Notice he was pickless for long stretch until he faced da Beavs. O god if M. Williams was playing for the Beav's, instead of USC, and had a cannon-arm like Anderson to throw to him...

Death to the BCS.

8. Anderception's arm isn't in question
It's his cinder block-like feet that are the problem.

10. True; unpleasant, but true
He can't run.

This is why the loss to Oregon was such a knife turning in the guts defeat. Clemons could run, and he burned the beaver D on so many 3rd and longs. (or so it seemed)

And ffs, Fife was the more regarded runner.

The pocket QB is an endangered species.

Leinart aint too mobile either. Which is good (in a sea of bad) news for the rest of the Pac-10.

16. OU does not belong there. Time to trash the BCS.
No dog in this fight, but it is appalling that OU - not their own conference champions, and absolutely destroyed last night - would be there over USC. The end of the BCS as we know it, no doubt.

12. And USC is ranked #1 in BOTH polls (AP & ESPN coaches)

Hell, much as it galls me to say it, if Michigan beats USC in the Rose Bowl they have as good a claim on #1 as anyone.

Unfortunately, we needed a mess like this to expose the BCS as a sham.

14. No...
Michigan has two losses. They have no claim left to the title. Two one-loss teams will do battle for that and deserve itmore than Michigan.

If they'd just been awake in Oregon, though......

17. I said in an earlier post today that this would happen....
You're right, it's a sham.

However, I think USC will trounce Michigan, and LSU will beat OU, but barely, leaving a split championship in the polls.

Funny, this has happened before, and the BCS was supposed to STOP this from happening.

What a joke.
