16. Hair is good, Spring has been wonderful,
and chocolate never tasted so good.:)

I drag this out every once in a while to read: :D

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave, with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO what a ride!"

26 years - A-COPP and radiation. They classed me at stage IV-B so that they could treat it more aggressively.

Glad you're here, KW. :hi:

13. I am glad you are here as well!
I was 22 (almost 23) when I was diagnosed. I have some fairly significant long term effects that make living rather interesting!

But ever day above ground is a good one.

25. My dog is a 6 year cancer survivor- he is 13 1/2
His tumor was injected with IL-2 over the course of 3 months and his immune system was able to overcome the cancer, sparing him amputation or euthanasia, and helping to find a cure that can be used in human cancer.

Here's to Harry Dog!

27. BC survivor
The doctor scanned my first mamogram and noticed something suspicious. It was very small and I'm extremely fortunate that he was the one reviewing the mamograms that day because most might have missed it. This was last June. I was lucky to catch mine early so I never had chemo. Radiation and surgery is horrible enough.

35. Circulatory and Immune Issues
I have venous stasis in that leg, and the tumor is below the knee. I've also had repeated bouts of cellulitis and necrotizing fasciitis on that leg. (I have two much more serious chronic health issues than a 2 cm tumor!)

38. My grandma had cancer
She was at my first birthday party when she noticed a pain low in her abdomen. She went to the doctor and he told her she had ovarian cancer. They did exploratory surgery and gave her the bad news: the tumors were huge and they were EVERYWHERE.

She was told she would be dead in six months.

She had nothing to lose, so she went to a faith healer. The faith healer used laying on of hands.

A week later she went to the doctor and the doctor did an examination and said "I need you to go see this other doctor this afternoon. I need to see if he's seeing what I'm seeing."

She went to the other doctor that afternoon thinking that the other doctor was going to tell her she was about to die. Instead the doctor said "Your other doctor asked me to look at you because he couldn't believe what he was seeing. We've both examined you and we see no signs of cancer."

They ran tests and the cancer was gone.

That was 28 years ago, and she's still alive today. The cancer has never come back.
