Life is going to change for them in a big way in the next few hours. Ashley's Dad passed away just afer christmas and so this is quite bittersweet, not having him around to see his first grandchild. She's amazing though and dealing with things so well!
I'm happy / sad. Because I've been 'out of commission' I can't travel until I have a couple of days of normal under my belt. I was hoping to be there for the baby's birth. Ashley had asked that I be in the delivery room with them! Such an honour to even be considered.
So, here I sit, excited, scared , full of love and admiration for my son who has displayed such love, caring and support for the mother of his child. This from a young man who suffered from 'me me me syndrome'. I'm so proud of him tonight and my heart swells to overflowing, knowing the love he's about to experience. He'll cut the cord and hold his baby for the first time! I wish I was there!
good vibes are always welcome, though I fear I've overdone the asking lately. Please keep these two, soon to be three in your thoughts, her water has broken, she's gotten an epidural and the baby is on it's way!! :woohoo:
thanks
