Brooke Shields Gives Birth To Baby Girl

Her spokeswoman says the 40-year-old actress gave birth today to Grier Hammond Henchy, who weighed seven pounds.

Shields and husband Chris Henchy, a 42-year-old television writer and producer, also have a daughter, Rowan, who turns three next month. The couple has been married since 2001.

The birth came the same day as Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes welcomed the arrival of their newborn daughter, Suri.
