1. Just don't eat it too much. It's injected with butter.
Or some other delicious fatty goodness. But I agree, it's delicious and HUGE. We get several meals out of one chicken. CostCo RULES.

2. This I have heard
They say you can barely get home without wanting to eat a little bit.

3. I love Costco, and wish they would go to free range chicken
This is Steph...

I don't know what's happened to me---in the past few months I can't touch industry raised meat. It wasn't gradual either...and I wasn't thinking about it--just one day...blam! And I was almost completely vegged out.

4. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they do just that in the near future
They carry more organic products every day it seems. I'm pretty surprised to see what I can buy there. I would be thrilled if they offered at least a choice on the chicken, and would be happy to pay a couple of bucks more for it.

5. The ones at Vons are just as good, but they are $6.99 (Costco's $4.99.)

7. I wish we had one close to here
I get my rotisserie chicken at Shaws, and it's pretty good, but you have to case the joint for a while to get them when they first come off the skewers otherwise, under the heat lamps, they cook to mushyness.
