they were originaly called "X" but when Sony Records wanted to bring them out internationally they changed to "X Japan"
cause some other band called X (I was never a fan) was already out there.

Congrats.... now name the guy in the 3 last photos

4. YOU WIN!!!
So.. heere is my short story on "X"

I first saw them on a TV in an electronics store in Tokyo. I bought their tape "Visual Shock" and took it home to the states. They were so compelling - visually and musicaly.

So.. I contacted their manager to see if i could see them in concert the next time I traveled to Japan. She (thats right, a woman) told me that they were not touring but were going to Hollywood to record their new album "Jealousy" and i could meet them there.

Several months later I got a call with an invite to meet them at their hotel. Cool!!

I met Hide, Yoshki, and Toshi and we talked as well as we could since only Yoshki had a spatering of english and I with my Berlitz Japanese.

I invited Toshi and his girlfriend (a very pretty model) to Disneyland for the day. Hide and Yoshki had other commitments. Since I worked at Disney I was able to take them to the front of all the lines with VIP access. We even piloted the Mark Twain which they really enjoyed.

Later I was asked to help on the album cover concept which they were kind enough to give my name credit. I last saw Hide in Los Angeles's little tokyo. He was a wonderful guy.. and crazy fun.
