10. There's vegetarian "fish sauce"

a vietnamese restraunt I like uses it (the family that runs it are vegetarians for religious reasons, so they reformulated the menu with no meat a while back.) Here's a link on making your own http://www.thaigrocer.com/VegAdapt.html or you can find it prepared and ready to go.
