4-20 Myth
Just heard the significance of this date on NPR. Great story, but the reporter obviously didn't check out the following:
Here is snopes take on it:
http://www.snopes.com/language/stories/420.htm
The crazy thing is that our old dog, Buffett, named after Jimmy Buffett, was born on 4-20-1990. And died on 4-20-2004. And our new dog, Boodah, was conceived on 4-20-2004. And my husband is a huge Deadhead. I am getting the creeps about the significance of this date.

Is there anyone else out there who this date is significant and didn't realize it?

12. My dad's birthday was 4/20/17.
I used to kid him about having the same b-day as Hilter's when I was younger. He was not amused..

Hard to believe Daddy would've been 89 tomorrow, even though it's been 15 years since he died, I still miss him everyday...

8. You mean my kids lied to me?
All this time I thought 420 was the police call or whatever. (I told them they were stupid for celebrated what would be an arrest) One of the kids, stole the 420 door marker off of some hotel room a few years back. I still have it, since in the process of moving out that particular child left it.
I had to listen "Heh, it's 420 dude." (Like I have stupid written across my forehead)
Crap. They put me through 420 idiocy for several years. I knew it was about marijuana to them, but I didn't know it was an URBAN myth.

I don't know about any personal significance. I hope not. After raising 4 teenagers I'm still traumitized....
