How do you say Czechoslovakia?
I'm doing a presentation tomorrow and I always blub up Czechoslovakia. I'm doing mostly the 1960s so Czech Republic is out of the question.

Thank you for your time.

8. I think so...
My presentation is about the Civil Rights Movement in Northern Ireland though... I was bringing up Czechoslovakia as an example (will only mention it once).

11. wiki tells me they are calling it
Czechia which I think is far cooler than "The Czech Republic"
but I am still annoyed that the capitol of Norway is no longer in the middle of it. x(

18. Yes. And they did it really quietly
No civil war, nobody died that I know of, or anything. It seemed as if one day, oh, Czechoslovakia no longer exists, dudes.

My car comes from the Czech Republic.

10. Alas
like I do! :D

25 years of doing the English language, why can't they write it phonetically instead of adding silly letters?

Like Czech Republic... Come on.. spell it Check republic, once for all!*

*Not meaning to offend here, sorry :(

13. Thank you!
I wrote out the pronounciation... I'm sure my old Speech Therapist would have written it in the funny language they have. (upside down es and such).

but a literal step by step of the word helps me a lot!

And I just learned that Coup was pronounced without a p last week. Damn those french! :( (kidding)
