FOUR! _____ 4!!!
Edited on Fri Apr-21-06 02:03 PM by underpants
So we took our baby girl for her 9 month check up on Monday. She got two shots and they drew two samples of blood from her finger...not one tear. She made crying noise for about 10 seconds and then just stopped. Everyone was amazed.

Everything looked to be great. Good weight (18 pounds, she is far past every develop step/phase. It was all good.

We got a call on Wednesdy. She is not anemic but she had a lead level testing at 18. 0-9 is acceptable. Lead level testing has registered as bad as a 100 but that is in OLD urban apartments were (sad to say) the kids were probably eating paint due to hunger. Well we had to take her back in yesterday. We were not expecting the results until Monday. They called my wife and then called for the results on the other line (our Dr.'s staff is AWESOME) the results- FOUR (4). No problems.

They had told us that this happens all the time with finger tests but of course Momma was worried sick. Literally.

Once again there was nothing to worry about. Our baby is just fine.

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW!!! okay Poppa can breathe now.

2. She is getting really expressive with her face
she had me absolutely cracking up this morning before Momma took her to "school". She can raise just one eyebrow too which makes for lots of family fun (neither one of us can do that).

3. My son and husband can do the eyebrow thing.
They find it endlessly amusing that I am lacking in that talent ... Don't know if my daughter got the eyebrow gene or not.

6. My husband can do that. And he does it to get out of trouble with me
You cannot stay mad at someone who is making that face at you! AND, he passed the talent down to both our sons. (I absolutely LOVE it!)
Your daughter is an angel!

4. I've learned medical establishments, my son, and my sanity do not
mix. Every test he's ever had I was sure he had the rarest of the rare disorders. When he was born he had a siezure, and so he was tested for all sorts of stuff. I still have lingering phobias about it. And every test he did I am just sure it will come back reading "Your son has reptilian disorder and will soon grow webbed feet and fly away, forever."

The Neo-natal ICU is a little shop of horrors for sure.

I'm very glad your little one is a healthy one, too.
