Please, for the love of Mike, help an old woman not go crazy. You mean "fazed" when you want to say that your composure has (or has not) been disturbed.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled Lounge. And I'm staying the hell outta GD for the rest of the weekend...

1. Depends. Are we talking about antenna arrays?
or lasers? then it's phased.

Otherwise, you're right, oph course

8. Don't forget what happens when you turn this baby off

All kidding aside, I think it's been years since I've seen anybody use that phrase at all--the plus side is at least I know I'm not the guilty party!

3. My current spelling pet peeve is...
the use of "would of" instead of the correct "would've" (the abbreviation for would have).

That is all.

6. I'm with you there
But I thought one peeve from me at a time is all I can expect the Lounge to support.

12. Not in my world!
Then again, in my world I will insist that my child learn four years of Latin and piano lessons as a basic foundation for a cultured life. And he cannot read a book written after 1960, when the language all went to hell!

15. No books after 1960?
That is insane! Arbitrarily censoring books after a date you believe the "language all went to hell".

I feel sorry for your child's world, because you're obviously not considering it at all.

16. You are, of course, correct.
I always notice that one too.

I also use expressions like "for the love of Mike", so we must be kindred spirits. ;)
