Edited on Fri Apr-21-06 08:08 PM by matcom

thinking of a "socialist-raised-fist" of somekind with the words.... "it isn't the man, it's the MOVEMENT" but done artfully

back right shoulder area.

1. My friends Mom came up with a good idea....
Okay... If you can write a 500 word paper on WHY you want the tattoo, what it symbolizes for you, and how you think it will affect your life... then have someone read it, sign it, and then think it over for 24 hours...

I think it's a good idea!

5. Here's what I once suggested to my nephew
Get some of the transfer paper for ink jet printable temp tattoos. Refine your design in Photoshop or PaintShop or some other graphics editor until you like it, then wear it for a week. Keep doing this until the design is something you're really happy with. Then put it away for a while, and try it again in a few months. Refine again. When you're really happy, take a properly scaled printout and the image saved as a .PNG to the tattoo shop. If you can, use Pantone colors, and bring in the Pantone chips to reference for ink colors.

3. fwiw:
Your slogan is waaay too long--you'd spend thousands on that one :)

I like the actual image, though.

4. Whatever you get, can we see pics?
I am a singer, not an artist, so any idea I have would suck. However, I would be interested to see it when it's done!

:hi:

17. That shit's really bad for you
I cruised the Internet looking for information on glow-in-the-dark ink; the tattoo artists' FAQs that mention it talk of "many serious reactions" to the product.

Just use regular, non-glowing ink, 'kay?

i want to put the letters "f.b.g.y.m.t.r.w.g.r." around this tat on my back......

the letters are a homage to queen's fat bottomed girls...stands for "fat botomed girls you make the rocking world go 'round"

16. Well, it's probably not tough enough for a 'hard' fellow such as yourself
But the socialist rose is always a lovely design:

Sounds like you want something more like the UK Socialist Workers Party emblem:

As for a quote, the old Internationale has some good ones:

"Arise, the damned of the earth"

"Neither God, nor Caesar, nor tribune."

"Equality needs other laws!"

"Peace among ourselves, war to the tyrants!"

Anyway, any of those would make a great addition.
