I miss Six Feet Under!
The show that is. Any Six Feet Under fans here? I missed the last season because I gave up cable awhile back, but now I'm halfway through it on DVD. I'm trying to slowly draw it out because I know there's no more left. I generally loathe TV, but this was something special-- human, neurotic, loving, crazy, and family-oriented all at once.
Best damn show.

2. MY digital service shows reruns on two channels.
For two different seasons. Its kind of nice to go back and forth.

Who'd your favorite character on SFU. Main and sub character.
Mine:Cl
Main - Got to be Nate.
Sub - Nathaniel's ghost.

3. I have a love/hate relationship to all of them.
Claire used to remind me of a young me, but now not-so-much and I can't take her. Ruth reminds me all my passive aggressive mom, but frighteningly, as I get older, I see some of myself there. Nate reminds me too much of various men in my past, but he's nice to look at.

I think the nicest is David, but there were times I wanted to shake him. I love how they've evolved Brenda (her family just is so screwed, I love them!). Great stuff!

4. I see Nathaniel in me.
Accepting life's dissapointments and not being the person that everyone else thinks he is. Building himself a secret retreat to deal with the drag and bullshit that life throws in front of you.
At least thats what his ghost portrays.

5. Sometimes the only things that get me through the drudgery of some days...
are the secret oddities within myself that help me escape the universe.

Ok, not so odd, usually just sex and chocolate in my case. :D

10. What I love about the characters is that they're ALL flawed and they all
have their moments of goodness. Like real people. Claire has turned into a real train wreck this season but then I think, wait, I've known people who went through periods like that. Especially at that age.

I think I already said this but Nate is frighteningly similar to my brother so I really, really feel a connection with that character.

7. I just finished disk two. I'm trying to savor it but
I greedily end up watching a whole disk at a time. Thank goodness I'm getting them through Netflix and I only get two disks at a time. Otherwise I'd be done by now.

I love that show so much, it's most definitely my favorite show of all time. The characters are so real to me, I'm going to have a hard time seeing any of those actors as anything but their SFU characters. Peter Krause looks so much like my brother and Nate is so similar to his personality that it's spooky. My sister and I freak out about that all the time. She's also watching the dvds. Neither of us have HBO.

I'm going to be so sad when I'm done with the finale. Especially because someone ruined the end for me already. ARGH. Oh well, I'm still curious how it all plays out.

:(

9. That DOES sound like a perfect evening.
We have a fantastic Vietnamese place near us that delivers the most delicious pho with all the fixins. I want to do that tonight when I get the next disk!

11. So what's up with Alice Krige...
...playing a character named Alma? http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0000481/

Was it just an in-joke for fans who remembered Ghost Story, or did the name have a larger significance in the series?
