Venetian blinds. Need I say more?

Just bought some new crappy ones at Target to replace the old, crappy ones that came with the house. :)

Then I came here, saw Derby's post, so I thought I'd try to copy-cat since it dovetailed with what I did this morning. :)

I especially hate old, dusty, dirty blinds that you can't raise or lower & which have slats that go every which way. Actually, I hate blinds period.

I just got some newer ones to tide me over until I can get some nice double-cell ones that coast $140/ea. for the size I need (and I need 2). :)

2. I need some new blinds

I've gotten spoiled though. We have a friend who does blinds and he gave us a set he'd ordered for someone who ended up not wanting them - good Hunter Douglas blinds. But they only cover one side of my picture window in the living room and I can't afford to actually buy a matching set. So my windows have sort of a pirate look - one patch, if you know what i mean.
