We talked about Wellstone's death, and other things. The conversation meandered to how John Ashcroft lost the election to a dead Mel Carnahan. My son thought that was hilarious.

The Carnahan family's been to hell and back. Mel and Jean's daughter Robin (the MO SoS) was recently dignosed with breast cancer.
But wow, that got big laughs at family gatherings for a LONG time. :D
