Am I the only woman who doesn't have a job now,

no kids, and should be doing something dammit, besides cleaning, making cards, buying food, pumpkin seeds, beer, reading books, creating a gorgeous garden, and just being a generally nice wife of 24 years. What do you think?

I had a decent one for 1/2 of our married life, now, I don't know if I want one.
But you are correct; I take care of my honey, for 24 years now. :) And he knows it.

If you're looking for something to do to enrich your life or contribute to the community, then you can.

What do you want to do? (I'm in national service--I'm pretty sure that I could help you figure out something good to do, if you want!)

I don't work either & have no kids at home. I do whatever I want all day. I love my life. :)

I do all the other stuff necessary, like buy and wrap and send gifts, b'day presents, X-mas, all the
stuff, to kids, parents, grandkids, etc., etc., ad barf!

I worked for over half my life. I'm perfectly content to stay home now & just do all the other stuff.

7. I think there is nothing at all wrong with not working

especially if you like to garden. Look at all you are really doing and that's plenty!!!!! A lot of people probably envy you. Enjoy the garden and books and the TIME that is your own

I'm doing the same thing. No job, don't want one or need one, no kids either and I'm happy at home taking care of things here. I work hard around the house doing all the housework and just about all the yardwork. I'm about as content as a person can be. But if anything happened with my husband's job I would go out immediately and do whatever work I could to help support us.
Tomorrow is my 19th anniversary and these have been 19 very happy years!

11. Sounds good to me

If I were married I would prefer such an arrangement, but I think that it's getting less and less possible. I could do it right now if there were no kids, but I'm 33 and this is the first time in my life when I could do something like that.
