I never realized how pretty the shape and texture of their feathers were before...normally you can't see past the vibrant colors. Cool pic!

That's not an albino. Albinos lack melanin throughout their bodies; their eyes and skin are pinkish. There's a subset of peafowl that have naturally white feathers.

If you think he's beautiful, you should see them in person. The feathers have a silvery shimmer -- breathtaking.

11. Beautiful! Many of my neighbors have peafowl.

There are three on my road that own Peafowl and Guinea (sp) hens. They eat the heck out of the ticks and other bugs. They are also good watch birds- the peacocks start howling when anything strange approaches.

12. What a beautiful bird!

I was once at a zoo that lets its peacocks freely walk around the zoo grounds. I was sitting on a picnic bench at a snack area, and a peacock was hanging around, probably hoping somebody would feed him. He was standing right next to me when he started displaying, and his feathers were resting right on my lap. It was so cool.
