I Scared the BeJeebus out of myself watching the "A Haunting" marathon
on Discovery last night. Anyone else watch this? It's supposedly true stories about hauntings of everyday people. I had heard the Bobby McKay's one before, but the show is really "spookily" done. And then, when I went to go bed...a thunderstorm started. I hate thunderstorms... :hangover:

2. It's a very cool show if you get a chance to watch it...
Kind of like a mini horror movie in each show. :)

3. Neat.
I love that stuff. I'm like the biggest skeptic ever, but I still love it. I even took a course on supernatural folklore this semester.

6. I'm a skeptic as well, but it still can get under my skin and keep me
from sleeping at night. :)

I'm the girl who wonders why we haven't found any dead "bigfoot" carcasses. ;)

4. I did, too. It's like a drug...I turned it on and thought, "Okay, I'm so
not getting sucked into this tonight."

And then I did. (I love being scared by scary stuff.)

5. Me too! The one with the girl who couldn't speak or walk, and played
peekaboo with some unseen entity was scary as all heck. The one with the "F" burned into the floor.

And the 15 year old overdose ghost stuck in the house with the abortionist's ghost. That was spooky because her death was of recent vintage. I was scared out of my mind. :)

11. This stuff interests me because I believe my childhood home
was haunted (so did my siblings, so I wasn't crazy...).

13. Watched it...and...
BOO! :insert ghostie here:

Actually, the one where the townhouse was haunted, and the wife was in the nursery getting ready to bathe the baby...then the baby wash bottle FLEW across the room... :wow:

Had something like that happen in an old (1912) farmhouse way out in the country I lived in back in the mid70s. Things would go flying, the doorbell buzzer would go off in the middle of the night, buzzing and buzzing until we ran downstairs, then it would stop, someone knocking on the door and no one there, photos showed weird smoke-like images, would hear walking upstairs when no one else was home. Had been told the original owner of the home had died there...and had not been found for almost a week...was not a pretty sight when he was discovered.

It was a spooky place at times, but also a lot of fun living there.

17. I couldn't believe that the husband talked her into staying there twice.
I feel sorry for the 15 year old ghost, being left there. That was a sad part of the story. That she didn't really want to commit suicide but the ambulance never showed up. :(
