Day two of Earth day celebration: I hate mother nature
Day One: happily, joyfully, naively planting trees to celebrate mother nature when my dog kills a terrified, screaming squirrel in front of us. We are done with mother nature.

Day Two: semi-recovered from day one and tentatively finish planting the trees. Cautiously my daughter tries her hand at clipping a hedge with our brand-new clippers and new garden gloves. A bird frantically flaps around my daughter's head, squawking. Birds nest. With eggs. At least she stopped before she destroyed anything, although the nest is a bit exposed. We are now inside peering from the window to make sure the mother is coming back to her nest. We have decided to go with the natural look of the hedge (Michelin man).

Yikes!
