So I took out my 78 mpg Eco-friendly Green Machine today...
...Kawasaki green, that is.
O, what a good day. First ride of the season. It's a big deal up here in the high country when spring finally gets around to ya. I still encountered snow up the old dirt roads, finally making me turn around. But I'm looking forward to a summer of cheap transportation. :headbang:
New for this year: proper enduro boots. Too expensive, but should keep my ankles in one piece (or however many pieces they're supposed to be) should I have a little tumble.

2. '02 Super Sherpa
They're a little hard to find, but great fun to ride. 250 4-stroke, electric start. With my 20-mile commute, it's half paid for in gas savings from using it just last summer. :)

6. I've gotten her to 65
...and it was a little squirrely, but it'll ride at 60 happily enough.

7. So, if I were to stick to the surface streets I could commute with it.
It's tempting.

9. That's how I did it
Use the truck when I have to -- when there's snow, for example, or I have to carry boxes around -- otherwise sip fuel and enjoy the ride. :)

Newer, slightly more manly KLX250 is a similar setup.

4. Well, it may be fuel efficient, but whether ANY offroad vehicle is
"eco friendly" is debatable :P

5. Well, if everyone rode where they're supposed to
...I wouldn't have to put up with comments like that! :D

All legal trails, all the time. Period.
