2. Yes, it was a terrific movie. I'd just read the book a month or

so before the movie came out, and as you'd expect, many scenes were combined or left out altogether. The book is quite good.

The scene in the movie near the end where the relief plane is taking off and they have to leave the little girl behind just broke my heart. Fuck we live in a messed up world.
