Time for a Pet Pic Thread! **POST YOUR PET PICS!**
Edited on Mon Apr-24-06 04:03 AM by haruka3_2000
Yeah, so here is my menagerie (starting from fish and working up to cats)...

Seymore, the Betta (Siamese Fighting Fish)

The "little tank" which currently has algae. Inside is (1) male dwarf gourami, (2) corydoras catfish, and (1) Dwarf African Underwater Frog (barely 1/2" long)

The "big tank" which contains assorted cichlids and I just redid from the neon plastic hell it was. It still has stupid plastic plants, but it was a compromise with the family. I got my rock and coral. They got plastic plants (although much less tacky than the original ones).

The Bearded Dragons...Dr. Gonzo is in the first pic (check out his Andy Warhol collage) and his sister Raoul Duke is in the second pic.

Now onto the leopard geckos...first up is Stumpy, looking kind of scary...

And now we have Killer. If you look closely it appears that Killer is involved in an orgy with Stumpy, Agent Dana Scully, and Action Figure Jesus with Gliding Action! (I did not pose them).

Finally, here's Spot, the one who was in my bra last night...

Here's my two bunnies...Elphie (white w/silver highlights) and Darwin (brown dwarf).

Finally, we're at the cats!

Midnight, the badass motherfucker of the pets. She even sports a black leather spiked collar.

Ginsberg, the mighty hunter (the next three pics are camera phone so I apologize for quality)

Cuddles, the fat lump seal-point Ragdoll. He doesn't move. He just uses his fat & fur as a pad, if attacked. (Really crappy quality on this one)

Peaches, our "cream-point Ragdoll." She was rescued from a kitten mill type breeder. A female Ragdoll should be 12-15lbs. She weighed 5lbs when we rescued her. She's 9lbs now and she's still skinny. I don't think she's purebred (even though she looks like it) because she doesn't have the build and was never even registered with TICA.

beautiful animals.

Here are my two late cats.

First Lillekort, who lived with us when I was a kid. He only turned 7 years old. He was a very sweet cat. He loved to cuddle and purr.

Then Octavia, she died January last year. She turned almost 16. She was a devil. Never learned how to play with her claws in. I used to have a lot of scratches sometimes. She loved to pet also but when she had enough she would hit you instead of just leaving. I loved her a lot.

She was the visiting cat here .... (the white Persian is was my grandma's cat)

This is Pippin, my aunt's cat.

5. But that is why we love them
I miss Octavia. She was part of my live for such a long time. In summer I will get my co-workers cats again for 3 weeks. :bounce:

4. Thanks for the gecko compliment.
Midnight is so rough on dogs. When we had our German Shepherd, the poor thing never knew what to expect. Midnight would either walk up to her, rubbing against her & purring or she'd claw the hell out of her face and walk away. (95 lb. Shepherd vs. 8lb cat=cat wins)

Easter weekend, my stepdad had custody of his lab for the weekend. Now, if Midnight can beat up a German Shepherd with aggression issues, then a lab is nothing. I had to rescue that dog three times from Midnight. She kept backing the dog into my sister's closet and not letting her back out. The dog was pretty stupid though to let herself get backed into the closet three times. (70lb lab vs. 8lb. cat=cat wins.)

Smoke, age 14. He has cancer and isn't going to be with us much longer. :(

Sterling, age 11. With his hair, and without.

Spirit, age 3. He's my housemate's dog, but has adopted me as his own.

Magic, who died last year of pancreatic cancer. He was 5.

Nightmare, Smoke's mom, who died last year with complications of hyperthyroid. She was 15.

Looks just like my black Cocker. Mine is 14 and has survived a cancer scare of his own.

19. Yes, he was the sweetest dog
The pancreatic cancer was completely unexpected (isn't it always?). Even the vet was shocked when we got the final diagnosis -- his entire pancreas was basically a cancerous mass, there was no normal tissue left. I still miss him alot.

10. Here's the doggy debris:
Unfortunately, we lost Bodhi (top) this month, suddenly, to a heart tumor. But I love the pic, it's how I'll always remember the gang (when not out sleddin'). :)

17. Sorry to hear about Bodhi
They are so beautiful. I keep trying to talk Mr. Beast Man into a Malamute. I had one when I was a kid who was the smartest and sweetest dog.
