I'm thinking of dropping out of society
Edited on Mon Apr-24-06 06:06 AM by HEyHEY
I understand there are many scenes and places and stuff that are cool, however, most of those are ruined by people who know they're in something special and have to run it into the ground.
For the most part, these people were just in the right place at the right time and got in on the ground floor of what is the new trend.
So, eventually you can't tell them from the posuers.

But this mainly comes from my day to day life. I sit downtown and drink tea... watching people. And so many of them disgust me. I see nothing but walking, talking fronts for a force of shallow and vain intentions.

And that's everyone from the "punks" to the attorneys.

Plus, being original.... isn't original anymore (Thank you Devo).

Face it we're a bunch of un-inspired, boring attention whores.

Fuck, it... as soon as I can find out HOW one drops out of society, I'm gonna do it.

1. Let me know too! Society is often over rated. Just give me family and a
small group of friends, and I'd be set.

P.s. sounds like your feeling a little depressed, hope you feel better.

2. You'll find dropping out of society is pretty unpleasant
The options mostly boil down to:

- join a monastery

- adopt the life of a mendicant

- become a hermit.

6. This is Canada.
You just move way up North and build a shack n the forest or something. Buddy of mine actually did that for about two years. He was pretty close to a town, but never went there.

11. Speak for yourself, bucko!
Move in with me for a little while and I'll have you feeling all better and ready to go back to Canada. I could use some rent money and some help paying the utilities. Or come with me out on the road. We'll fix you up in no time. :)

15. But, dude.....you have to be a part of something....
..before you can drop out of it.

You might just need a change of scenery. Seems to work wonders.

Edited on Mon Apr-24-06 06:11 PM by bedpanartist
I did blow for entire summer at the Guided By Voices band practice space. It is not a time I want to return to. It was fodder for a tremendous song though.
