I really dislike them, but it's certainly noteworthy. I'd be kind of pissed if I was an XM subscriber.
by NOW I mean NOW. They came on the air on WBCN ten minutes ago.

1. Here's a silly idea for those x-Stern stations: PLAY SOME DAMN MUSIC |
|
I didn't grab any CDs this morning and had to rely on my radio for entertainment on the way to work. The Philly Infinity station I didn't bother with since that'll either be Roth or Opie & Anthony (Stern rip-offs). But the other two rock stations (93.3 & 102.9) were all chatty chatty chatty. It's frustrating when all I want to listen to is some great rock music and I have to listen to more damn chatter.
So perhaps Infinity (which owns 94.1, the old Stern station in Philly) could do something profound by playing MORE MUSIC and giving us LESS TALK.

6. I hate what they have done to WYSP |
|
It has been going south for a number of years but when they did the switch over to the "Free-FM" format I kept it on my presets only because I was too lazy to change it. WMMR is the only thing I listen to when I listen to the radio any more.

considering how they got run out of the Boston market originally.
And yes, you make a good point about XM subscribers, however I think the reality is that O&A didn't bring over subscribers to XM so unlike Sirius where many people dished out $ to hear Howard and otherwise would not have subscribed at this time I don't think there's many people who dished out money just for O&A and now find they didn't need to do that. So I don't think there'll be a big backlash in that sense but it does kinda weaken their position in relation to satellite radio.

3. I just checked the WYSP stream and they have music |
|
O&A are a guilty pleasure for me. Yes, they can be crude and juvenile, but the thing that sets them apart from Stern and the like is that they're actually FUNNY.

4. Those guys suck horribly. |

They were on in the afternoons here in Cleveland a few years ago. Imagine Howard without the tongue-in-cheek charm.

Nice to see another adherent of the Church of Dave. Sad to see how the Man's been slammed lately, eh?
