Something is wrong with my modules. Can anyone help me?

Okay, first I know the way I wrote that subject line set up you comedians on here so give me your best shot. However, I'm really serious.

So, I hope this is okay in this forum. I looked but did not see a forum for webmasters or computer geniuses that would be willing to help us mere mortals.

I will want to add an icon that leads to another site that provides me with the code and/or just cut and paste, update module, click yes to view, click update journal, but when I go to my journal, the icon will be there but all of the code and/or cut and paste is also showing. What am I doing wrong?

Can anyone help me with these modules from hell????
