seeing your screen name reminds me of back before I became political. My friends and I were enamored by the idea of Haruka, Michiru, and Setsuna all raising baby Hotaru.

I wasn't long after that when I realized that the world is full of assholes and became active politically.

6. I got political because of my HS principal.

My friend and I went through hell trying to get a Gay-Straight Alliance started. We had student & faculty backing, but the head principal was a homophobic idiot. He claimed he wasn't being homophobic though, but just protecting us from other students. Guess what? No students ever gave the club or the members a problem. It's not like I went to HS in Bumfuck, USA. Upper middle class northern New Jersey suburb is a pretty safe place to grow up gay. I was out and guess what? I still had some "popular" kids for friends. I went to my senior prom with an FtM (we both wore matching tuxes) and no problems at all, except for the principal editing us out of the video yearbook.
