April 6th: My dinner with Joani

Richmond looked its finest in bud and glorious flower as mr. swim and I met Joani at her hotel and squired her on a brief tour of the Fan district, the Museum District, Carytown, Riverside Drive, and landmarks important in my criminal history.

We ended up in Oregon Hill for dinner at Mamma Zu' a dark and potentially smoky dive with a disreputable air and indisputably wonderful Italian fare offered in abundant portions.

After dinner we came back to our house in the Carver neighborhood and documented the evening thus:









I had a great evening, the conversation was erudite and unceasing. I can't recommend Joani's company highly enough. My hope is that we can do it again in September and maybe MissHoneychurch will appear in a photograph too.
