4. I think this was Katherine's attempt to grab some of Kellie's base

The only reason I can think Pickler is still on after the last two weeks is because a significant portion of her votes come from horn-dog adolescent boys who saw her prom dress photo and her stage humping routine during Bohemian Rhapsody.

Katherine just decided to negate Kellie's advantage in getting that portion of the AI audience.

Probably a smart move since Katherine was pretty much panned by all three judges last night and she'll need those votes to avoid finding herself in the bottom three.

Katharine pretty clearly opened up her dress to show more leg. My wife and I both noticed that and this "flash" :eyes: too. I think it was an accident but she appeared to be going for that vote.

Katharine is going to be STUNNING looking once she loses some of her baby fat (not that she isn't very pretty already) I'm just saying that in her mid 20's LOOK OUT.

Yeah they really ripped her. She was not expecting that nor was I-she did really well IMHO.

9. I'll admit the finale of Kellie's Bohemian Rhapsody got my attention

and my adolescent horn-dog years are 20 years down the rear view mirror.

Howver, I figure Katherine's been in the bottom once vs. Kellie's zero. Given that she has just as much ammo as Pickler, why not use it?

Personally, I'm afraid Pickler still manages to beat out another superior contestant this time and Paris goes home.

5. I think she's gorgeous

I doubt I'd ever buy an album by her, but she definately is a gorgeous young woman.

I wouldn't be surprised if the people who have to produce the winner's album are actually hoping for Katherine. If past winners are any indication the best chance is for a woman to win who sings that poppy stuff.

I personally think Chris stands out as far better and ready to go than the rest, but I also don't know how American Idol would market his album. His audience probably would laugh at his credentials for coming from American Idol.

Right now, at talent though, I put McPhee at third behind Taylor and Chris. I have a feeling that the next three weeks will see Elliot, Paris and then Kellie go.

7. Mmm gonna have to disagree with you

Chris is good and I agree his audience would laugh AI mention away but Elliott is by far the best singer. I didn't really think so until I heard a replay of him here on a Richmond station (as you can imagine the top 40 stations here are all over this) his voice is incredible. As good as anyone on the charts right now-seriously.

Chris seems only to sing songs that remind me of the band "Live" if you remember them. I have also noticed that for two weeks in a row (if memory serves) he has had a guitarist on stage with him. It accents his ROCK background but something else.....the band SUCKS-I have said this since the Stevie Wonder show in which there were several songs I couldn't recognize. That band (and yes I know they are all pros) is all over the place and more than once (Elliott) has drowned out the singer. That could be from bad sound mixing but it happens so often that I don't think it is just that.

10. He just doesn't do it for me

I know there are a few people that are die hard Elliot fans but I just don't get it. I don't think his voice is really anything remarkable. Sure he has some vocal control, far more than say Pickler, and isn't off key or anything, but he's just so....I don't know. It feels a dime a dozen. Nothing standing out besides staying on pitch and some vibratto.

When they have in the past critizied him for not having a personality I agreed with that. Sure he seems like a nice guy when he's not singing, but when he's singing it's just not there for me. Look at Taylor. Heck often he's holding back his personality because he's got so much. Chris has an intensity to him which draws people in. Katherine does that eye thing, which sometimes annoys me, but she's got this connection. Even Kellie tries to connect. Paris and Elliot though have more trouble doing that, which is why they're probably go soon.

I agree the band has problems, but it hasn't impeded the others the way it has Elliot which raises more question marks to me.

12. Yeah I can see that

Everyone around here mentions how much "softer" Elliott's image has become. He looks a lot (if you squint and stand 50 feet away) like a friend of ours we laugh at the camera angles that REALLY make him look like our friend-we haven't brought it up to him yet.

BTW_ there is no way Chris will win. He doubles their revenue by coming in second or even leaving earlier ;-).

I HIGHLY doubt Chris will win. It'll shock me. At this point I'm betting the finals will be Katherine and either Chris or Taylor, not sure which, and Katherine wins. She's just SO much more marketable than pretty much anyone else. Paris comes a close second. Kellie Pickler would be marketable if only she could sing, but sadly the girl is getting worse and worse and worse....ack. She apparently can only sing songs she's sung for years which isn't a good sign. She has NO ear.

14. I think Simon is hoping for an Elliott / Katherine finale

Either one falls into so many marketing segments that they would be the bigger money tickets.

Chris and Taylor are nightmares for Simon because he knows that he can't market them across the board. While Simon is generally the only judge the contestants should even pay attention to, his comments are sometimes clouded in mercenary greed.

That said, I do want to see the judges expressions when Paris (likely) or maybe even Katherine (longer shot but probably bottom three regardless) goes home over Kellie tonight.

15. I completely agree with that whole post

As I said above I think Paris is going home tonight-several reasons and none of them have to do with talent. She is VERY talented and marketable too but she is young AND she really already has a career lined up (her family is in the bus.) so she goes.

Elliott IS what they are looking for just not in the exact package they want. He said that Usher is his favorite "performer" which means he is all about what passes for "R&B" these days. Katharine is a no brainer. Put her picture on the album cover and that is half the ball game.

Like I also said in about 5 years Katharine is going to be drop dead gorgeous-think Angelina Jolie in the BillyBob years as opposed to now.

Taylor just looks too old. Chris is this years Bo Bice-his going out earl just adds money to Simon's pocket.
