9. As a veteran of two broken noses...

or is it a nose broken twice? Anyway, cold packs are the first step. Doctors won't even X-ray until swelling goes down, so don't even waste a trip unless you are losing a LOT of blood.

I ruined a perfectly good carpet and a shirt I was fond of.... but oh well....
