Does anyone know any real jobs on the internet or work from home?
As I'm self-employed but going through a mega drought this year I am desperate for some extra income.
Since you guys are always 'In the know', I thought I might as well ask!
I hope I haven't broken any rules here?
I am an Art-Restorer by profession, also paint and photograph...design, write, etc.

1. Honest?
Porn. No I'm serious! That's where the money is.

Funny thing is.... it's a multibillion dollar industry. Grab some of the cash!

By your own admission you have artistic skills.... a rarity in the porn biz.

Think about it.

Khash.

9. I used to
it was great! I stayed at home making standard & gold sites for Adult Check. Real easy with my skills and they were very pleased with my artistic layouts. I made $25 and hour and only worked five hours a day 3 weeks a month, and it was all tax free. I was laid off the same month as 9/11 so everything sucked after that.

and it was just a routine job. The content didn't excite me since it was work.

18. I was lucky and my next door neighbor was an appraiser.
But, many people who get their start in the business place an ad for typing. I charged between 40-50 for report.

have some art pieces by a couple of CA listed artists that need cleaning and/or restoring.

Do you restore only paintings, or do you also do restoration/cleaning of statues?

Also, do you ever do any artist research for hsitory, bio and or value?

12. Actually I have done several jobs for people in other states....I have
great references and do sculpture restoring as well as pottery, porcelain, gilding and photography.
My best job ever was for the WA State Senate...restoring their photo- composites, from the beginning of this place becoming a state--to the early nineties.
I don't do appraisals but know people who do...if you want to do it yourself--you can go to Pro-Art, or Ask-Art and several other websites you can find on google.
Sometimes just typing the artist's name into google will direct you to appropriate sites.

I guess I lost focus on my business, when I decided to write a novel in the past 4 years, when I should have been concentrating on restoring.
Now it's coming back to bite me.
Thanks for thinking of me.

16. One of the CA listed artists there's almost nothing known about him
Preston L. Prescott

He did one public work, and many private works as well as many showings back in the '30s, but have hard time finding someone who can give me an appraisal on a sculpture of his I have.

AskArt.com is a good site. I did recently find a site where you can send in one item via pics for one free appraisal...I think it was an antiques and art site, but now I can't find it

20. some people are playing poker online for a living
i know a guy who earned $100K last year, and, yes, you do have to pay taxes on it, like any other income

wish i knew how to play but, on the other hand, dude hasn't hardly left his house since he started playing, gets too expensive to go anywhere because he thinks of all the money he could be making

21. Check ebay for what is selling in art
I've noticed that pieces that feature certain breeds of dogs sell. Like Boston Terrier hooked rugs, etc. Be careful to look at what has sold, not just what people are trying to sell.
