1. Sweet! Did you get that idea from one of the Wilton books?

It's funny, because I was just looking at one of ours (we do wedding cakes, primarily). And they had a gum ball cake that I thought was so cute!

2. yeah i got the idea their but theirs isnt 3d.. and i LOVE doing 3D cakes

3. I like it when people can take an idea they see in a book and

really make it their own, as you did. I need to scan our cake pictures and put them on photobucket. I'd love to show you some of the cakes we've done.

BTW, I showed MrSG your purse cake from the other day. He loved it! (As did I)

I really don't like doing wedding cakes.. i will though ;) of course. because people will spend more on a wedding cake even though they take no time to do compared to the more complicated 3D cakes...

5. It's just a hobby, mainly.

MrSG has been doing cakes for years, and then, when we got married, we did our own cake. Well, to be completely fair, HE does the cake, and I do flower arrangements for them. I'm quite proud of the one's we've done. I've also done bouquets and such for weddings (including mine).

I will definitely scan some of the pictures and PM you with them. Might take a while, but I will do it!

There was a woman in our neighborhood that used to take orders for cakes (usually some kind of doll with a big, frilly icing skirt). You are way more clever.
