Making a tshirt for the march. Any ideas?
Please only slogans or simple pictures. I'm using sharpies here.

Thanks!

1. I designed this one and made it with sharpies

for the protest in DC last September. It got a good response; a couple of people wanted to know where they could get one, and a few wanted their picture taken with me:

Weird.

12. Excellent!

Prepare for some nasty remarks from Fundies you run into along the way as well. I daresay that is the best part!

BTW, protesting in cammies is SO much easierr than carrying a purse or backpack or whatever. Just shove everything you need in those big cargo pockets and take on the world!

13. Eh, that's nothing. I was arrested by MP's on Wednesday.
At a "don't ask, don't tell" protest at West Point. I'm quoted at the end of this article.

The locals and the regular police were pretty supportive. There was a single counter-protester. Apparently, he drove almost five hours to stand alone on the sidewalk holding a sign saying we were going to hell.

14. Good on ya, for standing up for your beliefs!

:applause:

I hope they arrested the counter protester too. From a legal standpoint, it would make a very interesting case if they didn't.

15. He wasn't arrested. He didn't go onto campus grounds, though.
However, the main campus is open to visitors. We were not allowed on because of what we had to say. (Both the Air Force & Naval Academy's allowed them to go onto campus, although there were some arrests at the Air Force Academy) If the counterprotester went on campus, I doubt he would have been arrested.

Basically, at the beginning of the protest, you made the choice whether to protest outside or to enter the campus. We lined up to read a speech with MPs yelling at us that we were commiting a federal crime if we stepped forward. When we were ready, we stepped forward and were removed from the campus. The next person in line continued the speech. Once off campus, we got back on line and did it again, only that time we were arrested. Soulforce.org is taking care of our legal matters.

It was really cool and I plan on doing more actions with the group. I was actually the only person arrested that wasn't part of the Equality Ride or a college. I just drove up because I had no plans and supported them.

16. Still a weak case given the statutory language

...they are using as a basis for the charges, IMO.

Ah well. Again, good on ya!

11. Oh goodness.

Why, I've never had a slave before. I'm not quite sure what to do. Well, uh, lessee here. Okay, first let's get a contract going wherein I'll agree to always pay you decent wages with good benefits, and we should probably get a union set up so you'll always have a fair bargaining position... and after that, uh... I dunno. You wanna do some yard work while I clean the house? Or I could do the yardwork while you clean the house... whatever. Ah screw it, I'm no good at the whole master-slave thing. How 'bout we just hang out drinking beer and play a few rounds of Truth-or Dare? That would be fun.

:)

18. Hey you!

You groovin' on my cammies? They're special issue, you know. They're the newest design, made just for this war. Hard to come by... but that wasn't going to stop this little insurgent from getting her hands on a pair!

21. I think I saw you down in DC.

I didn't plan the haircut but it'll be better for traveling.
(and foolin' around on trapezes this summer)

I'll be glad when it covers all of me again. I miss playing with my long hair. :(

Thank you. I really feel better knowing that you think it looks good. I'll never forget your reaction to it last Fall.

22. Yeah, you have that amazing silky straight hair that every girl wants.

Lucky you!

I know what you mean about keeping it longer, though. I hate it when mine is too short to throw into a ponytail when I'm out rollerblading or working in the garden or whatever. Having said that I will occasionally tire of it being longer and get a chin length bob, usually in the wintertime so there is less hair to dry before going out in the cold. But then I always grow it out again.

But, I have always thought that you would look stunning in a chin length bob as well. You have one of those faces that lends itself to any hairstyle and makes it look great. Not me though... I'm stuck with two cuts that work and that's IT! Anything else looks stupid.
