A question about inheritances.
An uncle of mine passed away this past September leaving a rather sizable estate. In December, I received a letter from his attorney that I was left a moderate sum of money in his will. His widow, who is the executor of his will, filed the necessary papers with the attorney about two weeks after his passing. Would anyone here have an idea how long it will take to receive this money?

1. It all depends how fast the probate courts are working and
the complications of the "Will. I think you should have heard something by now.

If the "Will" was contested it may take some time.

2. When I was executor of my cousins estate,
It took almost a year for the heirs to recieve their share. She had no debts, and nothing to hold it up.

3. What County it is in...
what state....

How busy the Probate COurt is....

Or if it is just a part of the Common Pleas Court...

All depends...

OPur Families last "estate" cleared in about 5 months...

4. He and his family lived in WA.
I live in PA and I know no details in regard to his finances other than that he did rather well.
