High School reunion dilemma
Now my 20th reunion is in October. I just looked on the website that lists where they are having it, etc. and it says "cocktail dress" as far as what people are supposed to wear. Does anyone have any idea what that means? I am assuming it is something less than formal but more than business casual. I really have no idea since I never go anywhere that requires me to dress up if I can possibly avoid it.

I don't wear dresses. Ever. What can I get away with wearing, if I decide to go? I have a suit I wear to job interviews. I am so uncomfortable in anything "dressy" (especially the shoes!!). What I am trying to decide is whether or not to even go to this thing, since I had few friends in high school and most of them probably won't be there, since they were all outcasts like me. Of course I haven't even decided if I should go, given that I would have to fly, rent a car and stay in a hotel, which amounts to hundreds of dollars probably. I don't keep in touch with anyone but I am sort of curious (like watching a train wreck or something).

1. Just wear that nice interview suit, with comfortable shoes
and maybe add a scarf or beautiful brooch, or pearl necklace, or something of that nature to dress it up. A silk blouse under the suit jacket would also work.

6. Is there a way to find out
who is going to be there? Maybe your school or class has a website to show who has signed up. If you go sounds like a "little black pantsuit" with black flats will work fine.
