Making red beans & rice. First time.

I really, REALLY wanted some red beans & rice tonight, but...
Miz t. is down with a rotten cold.
I mean D-O-W-N.
She's the Cajun Cook in the family.

Soooo...
A guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do.
The beans are simmering with a big chunk of the leftover Easter ham.
The invalid aroused herself long enough to 'splain me how to make the rice.
We're COOKIN'!

It's a BIG pot if any uh y'all wanna come on over.
Maybe you could bring some cornbread?
