Racquetball and softball all in one weekend

I am sore! :-) But I feel good. Played two softball games in a tournament between my employer and one of our vendors today. It was great fun.

17. I never had until now

But this was an event to cap off our fund-raising for the MoD. We do have some good people in our office, and we had a blast.

We're talking bowling for another contest soon. That is something I am good at!

18. Right now we're bonding over the fact that we are horribly understaffed.

We're working our asses off! :D Help is on the way, or so we're told. It's hard to think that I'm a grizzled veteran after just over 2 months. :crazy:

We did have 3 newbies join our staff this past week. So far, the lightening of the load isn't quite what they promised, but then again, I want instant gratification, dammit!

I feel like a vet too, when I consider the questions the newbies are asking. Was I ever so young? :D

Well, there is no need to explain why my job is recession-proof in Los Angeles.

Although gas prices are testing that theory, lol.

22. We don't even have the tools that the big company has.

Our system is antiquated, and it's a pain in the ass. But, if I can survive this, I can survive just about anything these people throw at me.

What sucks is that so many of our files are small by the nature of the business. It's hard to see any of us making our financial goals. Oh well...

I used to play softball -- poorly, but I still enjoyed it. :D

I went to my sister's birthday party last night. Now I'm just relaxing and doing homework for the rest of the weekend.

But I did lead off the next-to-last inning with a hit that started a rally. We fell short in the end, but it was a good effort. :hi:

I miss the times I had there with my friends in high school, but the place itself, without my friends, is a freeper wasteland. :D

13. Well, my first memories are in VA Beach

so I get a bit nostalgic about that. Otherwise, no I don't miss that place.

I went to K through part of 3rd grade there, then part of 6th through the first half of college... so I have enough memories from a large span of time that I enjoy... but it just proves that friends trump locale. :-)
