I've got a cheesy question for you:
If the cheese packet reads "Expiration Date: 09 July 2006", but you see visible mold growths on the cheese, would you still open the package and eat it?

7. Properly packaged cheese shouldn't have mold
I'd send it to the manufacturer with a complaint letter. The mold shows that it wasn't sealed properly and/or was contaminated. Mold might be the least of your worries.
If after you opened it, it developed mold, then you can cut the mold off and eat it if it is a harder cheese like cheddar.

8. If it's grated, no.
Toss it. If it's a chunk o'cheese, cut off the mold and go for it!

10. Take it back to the store.
It was either shipped improperly refrigerated or displayed improperly refrigerated.

Nothing worse than moldy cheese! :puke:
