5. My mom used to say: If you can't sleep at least close your eyes

and at least your eyes will get some rest. I think of that whenever I can't fall asleep and most of the time it actually works. If I can keep my eyes closed, I fall asleep. Hey, now that I actually told someone else this, it sounds stupid. I swear it sounded intelligent coming from my mother!
