For those of you who 'know' of Adam and Ashley, (son and his soon wife to be)..

Ashley may need surgery to drain a large pocket (?) of infection in her uterus after just having gone through a C-Section to deliver my precious Ella on the 19th of April. Ashley is being admitted to hospital as I type. She's in a great deal of pain and very concerned about leaving her baby for the duration. (Ella is with Ashley's mom, she's in good hands).

Please send good vibes, prayers and much needed spiritual support for Ashley. Adam could use some too, he's one mighty scared young man right now.

How wonderful that you are a grandmother! Sounds like the mother is having a hard time for a full recovery. I hope she gets quick relief from her pain and a fast return to good health. I can understand how your son must feel being a new father, but powerless to help Ashley.

it's been a rough go of it for sure. I'm feeling pretty good these days though. My biggest concern is for Ashley. I hope they get this infection cleared up soon. She's upset that she can't be with her baby, I would be too.

Being a grandma is amazing, but not being close geographically really hurts :(

29. My wife is an RN in OB, and has been in Labor and Delivery for....

...30 years. She said it happens sometimes, and that her doctor is doing the right thing. They have to get the infection out, she'll be on anti-biotics for a while, but, again, her doctor is doing the right thing...:thumbsup:

I'm glad they have family close by that can help out. I'm going to make a quick trip up there on saturday (5hrs one way) and come home sunday, they need to see as well as feel my support. And it will give me a chance to see and hold Ella again.

the prayers, vibes and good wishes are working. Ashley had surgery and they removed/drained 2 litres of pus and blood (according to her mom).

Poor girl is exhausted but says she's feeling a bit 'drained' and very tired. A nurse will come to her home daily to repack the incision and administer IV antibiotics.
