fellow gamers a question for help

I am playing the new medal of honor, breakthrough, and the soldiers lips move but I cant hear anything yet I can hear the gunfire and surroundings. Same thing with Spearhead but the original, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, I can hear fine, maybe I need to ask on the MOHAA board, but I've gotten good advice here about stuff :) so why not.

1. First suggestion . . .

Make sure you have Direct X 9 installed.

Then make sure you have the newest soundcard drivers for your machine installed.

Then check options for the game and make sure there isn't a settin to disable voices :).

What about MOH Rising Sun. I'd like to check that one out. I've been playing Battlefield 1942 non stop since it came out last year. A couple of nights ago I was out on a public server and some racist asshole was calling everyone the "N" word. Finially I went off on a long rant. He asked if I was "a niggro" to which I replied, "as far as you know." Then he says "vote bush in 04." OMFG!!! Fitting isn't it?

and look in the Category "Windows 2000 Update" (or Windows XP, if you're running XP),

Select "run" in the start menu and enter "dxdiag" in the field. Select the "Sound" tab and lower the Acceleration setting (set it to no acceleration, if this helps try a higher setting.).

Give it a try - if it's a problem with your Soundcard's drivers you'll find out this way. As a bonus you might be able to play the game with sound.
The performance will suffer, of course.
