However, no one cares about that sort of mush ;) at General Discussion. GD isn't about developing relationships or relieving stress or entertaining yourself with other lefties. GD is about proving a point - however ridiculous, short-sighted, or mean-spirited the threads become.

The Lounge is where we are allowed to be well-rounded people, and not just creatures of politics. In time, you will find that the smartest, most progressive DUers favor the Lounge.

30. When a poster steps up to the GD plate, and his/her 47th post is:

"Why Dean can't Win" or "Why Clark is a War Criminal" or "Why Does Everybody Hate Hillary Here?" it tends to turn me off. Sorry. That's happened a lot lately, and it really pisses me off. There's lots of cool newbies and I don't mean to paint all new DUers with the same brush, but among the increasing ranks here at DU there are also a bunch of new people who seem like obvious disruptors to me...or who at least have nothing substantive to add to the soup.
