What is this facial hair called?
If a guy has hair on his chin only, what is it called?

It's not a beard. It's not a goatee because it doesn't connect. It's just on the bottom part of the chin.

Thanks.

3. Somebody who doesn't like to cut himself shaving
I really don't like that bottom part of the chin. It is the mostlikely place to cut yourself...

4. I hear ya'. I cut myself there a lot.
So sometimes I grow my chin hair, but I still don't know what it's called. I have a "soul patch", but that's more about the area between the lower lip and chin.

6. I just don't shave
Seriously, I shave based on phases of the moon or something. "Well, it's waxing gibbous, gotta break out the razor."

8. i have no problem shaving there
I have the Kurt Douglas chin so I've become pretty skilled with the razor as a result.

9. It is a goatee
The other one you mentioned — a goatee that connects to a mustache — is a Van Dyke.

11. Goatee. Van Dyke is the one that connects. (I always thought a
goatee was a Van Dyke, too (or vice versa) so don't feel bad.)
