1. ME!
That was such fun, and I really enjoyed the sneaky cameos.

I'm listening to "Unknown Pleasures" right now--how did you know?!

4. Interesting fact:
Mrs. Amok isn't a Joy Diviosn fan. Jusat never got into them or New Order.

She didn't know what happened to Ian Curtis--for all she knew, he was still alive.

The first time "Curtis" came on screen, before he was even identified, she said "oh, dear, he's not going to be around long, is he...". She knew, whoever he was, he was doomed.

And that suicide scene was so effective, somehow.

BTW, whoever played him, just NAILED his character!

5. I liked it a lot.
Some of it is very funny, though I can't remember a single line. I just remember Steve Coogan being particularly good as Tony Wilson.

6. one of the best
I watched this one 4x. Not even much of Joy Division fan, but the film was so damn well done.

It would make a good double feature with American Splendor, dontcha think?

7. We just rented that recently
I liked it a lot better than my husband did, but a) he hates downbeat movies, and b) he was never into either band - in fact, I suspect he'd never heard of either band.

The acting was good. The script needed a bit of work.

9. Look in the dictionary for 'Idiot Savant'
there should be a small picture of Shaun Ryder below it.
