William Janklow's slow acting karma

Thirty years ago, before he became known as the out of control congressman from South Dakota and as of late, convicted felon, William Janklow was an out of control attorney general, known by the sobriquet, "Wild Bill".

During this time, he, along with J. Edgar Hoover's FBI, sought to destroy the American Indian Movement, a native american civil rights organization, though the use of a violent and secretive process known as COINTELPRO or the Counter Intelligence Program.

Through the use of espionage, bribery and violent attacks, along with prosecutorial tactics employed by Janklow, COINTEPRO either killed or unjustly inprisoned many indian activists. One most notably Leonard Peltier.

But today, I guess what goes around, comes around. Because this morning I heard that a jury of his peers just CONVICTED HIS ASS OF MANSLAUGHTER!!

I, too, was extremely happy to see that Janklow was convicted and finally got what he's deserved for so many, many years. He was almost single-handedly responsible for setting back white-Indian relations in South Dakota and neighboring states decades. May he rot in jail!

I think you misunderstood. He meant that the way Janklow's treated Indians in his state, and Leonard in particular, (I believe that if it weren't for Janklow in the first place, Leonard wouldn't even be anywhere near a prison), that it would serve him right if he ended up in a cell with Leonard, NOT that Leonard deserved to be in jail or that it serves justice to have him in jail!

Spell Prison Bitch more specifically. I hope the prison population takes him as one of their own, and initiates him properly. Wouldn't want him to feel alone while he's there, now would we?
