I always suspected that Ted Koppel was just a disembowled torso with no legs attatched, viscera dangling, to a metal pole with titanium screws, which is why you never saw him from the chest down. Boy was I wrong!

It was back when I was a senior in high school. I got in, but I didn't go.
I was going to go to Ithaca College until my dad told me they would not help at all in July before I was supposed to start. (I was also going to have loans and work, so it wasn't a free ride I was expecting, but with no parental help, I couldn't do it alone.) My mom refused to work at the time and said I didn't deserve it anyway (Her parents paid her tuition in full for everything and she was a C student in college). My dad was just spineless.
Apparently, in high school, in addition to buying my own clothes, paying for my lunches, and any money to go out or for gas when I used the car, I was "irresponsible" for not saving the $50 a week I made working at my after school job (this was 1990, not 1950, so $50 wasn't much more than it is now). It was my punishment for being a "bad daughter", so I did it all myself, slowly, the hard way, and I'm still doing it in fact.

I keep ranting tonight, but I'm not a very good mood. Mainly because she is so mean, but she shows up univited to my house pretending like nothing is wrong around the holidays.
