3. Can't, mom gets mad when I do,
and everyone twists the door knob when it's locked, which is why the last one broke...

6. ... That works
I once hooked up a door bell for my room. The novelty of pressing the button worked for a while.

24. It's time your mom learned to deal.
You live with privacy and the respect of peers for 9 months out of the year. As long as you don't barge into her space, she shouldn't be able to barge into yours (same for sibs.)

I've got extra door knobs (we remodeled.) Want some? They are seriously cheap, and easy to replace. If you can use a screwdriver, you can replace a knob.

2. Tasers!
Tasers have worked for me. Pepper spray is an acceptable alternative.

Everytime someone comes in without knocking, fire a dart.

11. I just put a doorstop on it, so they can't open it all the way without
taking a minute, or asking me to open it

19. Move out.
If that's not an option, there's always aversion therapy. If something unpleasant is said or done every time they barge in, they'll learn. If they are very young, a positive reinforcement for remembering to knock might help (candy? playing with them?)

I had to share a room most of my growing up years so I had to put up with the other dweebs. Once I had my own room I was allowed to lock them out.

21. I think they're too old for that
16 and 12. I go to college away from home, so I only have to deal with it for a few months out of the year.

22. 16 and 12?
I was thinking little kids. Hell, they're old enough to respect your privacy. Beat 'em up - they deserve it if they've gotten that old and won't knock.
